Course overview
In this 1 hour course you will learn more about the kinds of abuse and reporting requirements. The learner will understand how to define and recognize elder abuse; how to define and recognize neglect; and finally, important reporting measures that need to be taken when elder abuse is suspected or witnessed. Furthermore, the learner will learn how to act in an ethical manner while working as a caregiver, based on defined and implied sets of rules for ethical conduct that conform to the client?s rights; understand the definition and impact of Client / elder abuse as well as the role of the caregiver in ending and reporting abuse; and recognize signs of potential abuse and know how to act and communicate concerns appropriately.
