Course overview

This course focuses specifically on the difficulties of understanding our work with a dying patient and offers suggestions for coping with grief. This course will lead to an increased understanding of the issues of coping with the end-of-life emotional challenges. After this lesson, you will be able to: understand how to address the issues of loss and avoid ?burning out;? learn how to keep the people in their care functioning as independently as possible, for as long as possible; how to provide care with a human touch and preserving quality of life; and how to say goodbye and work through the grieving process.
