Course overview

Elder abuse is a problem every caregiver should be aware of so they know how to recognize and prevent it. Abuse comes in many different forms and reporting suspected abuse will not only help keep your client safe, it is the law. In this course you will learn: how to identify and report elder abuse; signs of abuse; the federal law on elder abuse; the gray areas of abuse; how to confront a person; and risk factors.
