This 1 hour course discusses that while caregiving can build self-esteem, it can also be a taxing occupation. caregivers may need extra support when caring for those afflicted with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Encouragement and communication are integral to the mental health of caregiving staff. Caring for those with dementia is a high stress job. Learn how to care for yourself and how to identify the signs of stress both in yourself and others. By ensuring you and your coworkers are practicing healthy methods of self care, you will help create a stronger team. Learn about how caregiving can build self esteem; recognize signs of stress; communication; knowing when and how to ask for help; and use tough situations as learning experiences.
