Course overview

This lesson discusses common conditions/disorders of the endocrine system. Upon completion of this online activity, the participant should be able to: understand the functions, signs and symptoms of common ailments of the endocrine system; identify the various diseases of the endocrine system and how they will affect a person such as diabetes, hyper/hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome, Addison's disease, hypo and hyper glycemia, and diabetic ketoacidosis; identify common condition/disorders of the endocrine system; restate the related signs and symptoms of each disorder to observe and report; understand how to provide care to the common endocrine conditions for their client.
