UNDERSTANDING MEDICATION PROCEDURES

Course overview

This course is 1 hour and is NOT state specific and teaches non-licensed staff about assisting residents with medications in a community based care setting. This course focuses on the procedures required to dispense medications, including step-by-step instructions for various types and you will learn the procedures for properly dispensing medication. It also addresses medication rights. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: Prepare the medication workstation; Be mentally prepared to assist with medications; Assist with different types of medications.
