Course overview

This 1 hour course is designed to provide a general guide to what needs to be done during a particular disaster. Depending on where you live, the emergencies you may encounter will vary. Gathering a general understanding of the response for each disaster will equip you with the necessary tools to creatively and effectively care for your clients. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: define natural hazards and provide examples; understand the importance of an emergency plan and supplies; react properly to various weather emergencies and natural hazards; be prepared for weather emergencies.
