HIV/AIDS - THE ELDER'S EXPERIENCE

Course overview

This 1 hour course will help you provide care for a client with HIV/AIDS. Elderly clients with HIV/AIDS have special needs and considerations for care. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: identify special considerations for the elderly resident; encourage healthy habits that can make a big difference in the life of the elder person with HIV/AIDS; provide care for the elder person living with HIV/AIDS; understand the progression of the disease toward death.
