In this 1 hour course, we learn about the resources we can provide to the family members of those suffering from Alzheimer's. Empathy is essential when dealing with the family of someone who has Alzheimer?s. Put yourself in a family member?s shoes and understand what they?re going through. View yourself as part of a Staff-Family Team that is working together for a common goal. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: understand the stages of emotion family members of individuals with Alzheimer's experience; utilize methods to help families cope; develop a staff-family team to make coping easier.
