Course overview

In this 1 hour course, we will look at how to maximize the quality of your client's life beyond basic requirements so that you'll stand out as a caregiver, your community will be stronger, and your client's will enjoy their lives to the fullest. In most states, licensing regulations require providing at least some activities. Okay, that's fine - we know that you want to be in compliance. But rather than looking at this subject as simply another hurdle to conquer, let's look at why activities are important and what benefit they will provide for your residents and for your facility as well. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: Understand the link between physical activity and disease and death; Realize the underlying philosophy in designing a high quality enrichment and philosophy program; Integrate effective therapeutic programming; Develop a well-rounded activity program.
