Course overview

TSG evaluates the emergency medicine malpractice experience each year. In the last few years there has been an increasing number of lawsuits against emergency nurses related to pulmonary embolism. Therefore we have added pulmonary embolism to the TSG Core 1 series. Many of the cases are related to the failure to perform a risk analysis and the failure to recognize the significance of abnormal vital signs. However, there is a broad range of cases that is covered in two programs, Pulmonary Embolism Part 1 and Pulmonary Embolism Part 2. This is a critical high-risk area for emergency nurses. The two courses should be taken in order.
