Course overview

The pediatric emergency patient is a high-risk patient group and often presents a significant diagnostic challenge, particularly those children who are too young to communicate. TSG believes that this patient group deserves special attention in the risk and safety curriculum. This course will discuss abdominal emergencies considered high-risk by reviewing common complaints, and atypical presentations in infants and children. The author, a pediatric emergency specialist, will share insights in assessment, diagnostics, and treatment of this challenging age group.
