CHOOSING WISELY: HOW PATHOLOGISTS CAN INFLUENCE APPROPRIATE TESTING

Course overview

While pathology practice may not always involve direct patient contact, pathologists have an essential role to play in improving the quality of care by providing evidence-based guidelines to medical clinicians in order to assure that patients have the appropriate test available at the appropriate time. This course will help learners to understand the Choosing Wisely program and its recommendations, as well as build pathologists' communication skills to facilitate conversations about inappropriate testing with internists.
