During this course, we will talk about ways to implement measures to prevent unanticipated events jeopardizing the safety of you and your clients, learn how to report any situation that you view as a potential safety hazard, and clearly communicate with other healthcare providers to prevent errors that could harm you and your clients. By the end of this course, you should be able to explain the process for reporting situations that threaten the safety or health of home healthcare clients, identify professional standards of care that prevent medical errors in the delivery of home healthcare, explain the clear communication hand-off process, describe good hand hygiene habits that prevent healthcare acquired infections, describe pressure ulcer prevention techniques, and describe safety precautions for fall prevention.
