Substance abuse is a serious issue affecting millions of older Americans. Substance Abuse in Older Adults identifies the types of substances abused by older adults with a focus on alcohol and prescription drugs. This course addresses how to recognize the signs and symptoms of substance abuse in this segment of the population and discusses useful screening and assessment tools.
