This course provides instruction in the basic care of enterostomy feeding tubes, including Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tubes, gastrostomy (G) tubes and jejunostomy tubes. The content of this course is appropriate for licensed nurses working in a school environment. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: 1. List possible reasons for the placement of an enterostomy tube. 2. List possible complications of enterostomy tubes. 3. Describe the proper care of the enterostomy tube site.
