BREAST CANCER: RADIATION THERAPY

Course overview

Radiation therapy (RT) is usually prescribed as part of breast-conserving therapy for breast cancer (BC). RT is either initiated before surgery to shrink tumors, or after surgery to destroy any cancer cells left behind in the breast, chest wall, or lymph nodes.
