Breast cancer (BC) treatment may damage the ovaries and result in decreased hormone levels or induce early, sudden menopause, which can cause vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes. These are typically described as a sensation of heat in the upper body, diffuse sweating, tachycardia, nausea, and anxiety, occasionally followed by chills.
