Course overview

This is a beginners course. The intended audience for this course is nurses, psychosocial professionals/social workers, spiritual care providers/chaplains, physicians, hospice aides, volunteers and other direct care providers. The goal of this course is to provide the learner with the knowledge, skills and attitudes about the stages, symptoms, behaviors and challenges associated with Alzheimer¿s disease and related disorders. Strategies for communicating with patients with ADRD, managing care and assisting caregivers of ADRD patients will also be discussed.
