Course overview
Cultural competence is a set of behaviors and attitudes held by clinicians that allows them to communicate effectively with patients of various cultural backgrounds and to plan for and provide care that is appropriate to the culture and to the individual. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of providing CC prenatal care to Amish patients, including why this is important, and how to provide CC prenatal care to aid in caring for this patient population. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
