ADVERSE HEALTHCARE EVENTS: PREVENTION -- TRANSFORMING CARE AT THE BEDSIDE (TCAB)

Course overview

In 2003, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) started an initiative called Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the TCAB initiative and the prevention of adverse health care events, including information on the role and responsibilities of nurse managers in TCAB, and the 2 practices developed through the TCAB initiative that are currently utilized in hospitals. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
