Course overview
The United States continues have one of the highest rates of pregnancy in adolescence (i.e., pregnancy among 10¿19 year olds; also known as teen pregnancy or early childbearing) in the developed world, even though pregnancy in adolescence in the U. S. has declined to its lowest rate in 7 decades. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the case management of pregnancy in adolescence, including the epidemiology of pregnancy in adolescence and risk factors for maternal death, low infant birth weight, and/or pre-term birth, along with case management goals and the roles of the case manager. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
