CHROMOENDOSCOPY: ASSISTING WITH DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Course overview

Chromoendoscopy is endoscopy that involves the topical application of dyes to the mucosa to highlight features of the tissue and aid in the diagnosis of abnormalities. The procedure time for chromoendoscopy is about 10 minutes longer than the procedure time for a standard endoscopy which takes 15¿30 minutes. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of assisting with chromoendoscopy. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
