Course overview

Medically fragile newborns are full-term or preterm infants with severe chronic illnesses that require technological dependence and long or frequent hospitalizations. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the procedure for providing discharge instructions to parents about the medically fragile newborn. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
