Course overview
LTSA refers to an extended period of work absence that occurs as a result of an occupationally- or non-occupationally-acquired illness or injury; LTSA can be as short as 2 consecutive weeks but often is longer (e.g., months to years). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of managing LTSA and RTW, including factors that place personnel at higher risk for LTSA, factors associated with early and late RTW, and potential strategies to promote early RTW. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
