Course overview

The mental status examination (MSE) is the portion of the neurologic assessment during which the clinician broadly evaluates the patient¿s current mental state based on his or her appearance, mood, sensorium, cognition, and thought patterns. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of administration of the MSE. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
