OXYCODONE (OXYCONTIN)

Course overview

OxyCODONE immediate-release (IR), solution, and concentrate are U.S. FDA-approved to treat moderate/severe acute or chronic pain, and postoperative dental surgery pain; oxycodone extended-release (ER) is FDA-approved for around-the-clock treatment of moderate/severe chronic pain, and for postoperative pain in patients already receiving oxycodone ER or whose pain is expected to be moderate/severe and of extended duration. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of oxycodone. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
