Course overview

The setting for patient education should be a patient-centered, supportive environment which engages the patient in learning about health and wellness. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of selecting a teaching setting including the impact of setting on the patient¿s education experience, the importance of tailoring the education experience, and to aid in caring for the patient requiring education. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
