Bronchoscopy is a highly invasive procedure in which a tube about the width of a pencil is inserted through the patient¿s nose, mouth, or tracheostomy into the tracheobronchial tree to visualize the major airways of the lungs for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner information about teaching patients about bronchoscopy. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
