Torsade de pointes, a French term meaning "twisting of the points," is a polymorphic ventricular tachycardia characterized by a change in amplitude and a rotation or ¿twist¿ of the QRS complex on the electrocardiogram (EKG) axis. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the procedure for providing patient education about TdP, including a step-by-step process and the benefits of patient education on this topic.
