Course overview

The HCAHPS survey is a standardized, validated, self-report, anonymous survey instrument designed to evaluate patient perspectives (i.e., assess patient satisfaction) regarding inpatient hospital care. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of patient satisfaction and the HCAHPS survey, including information on the goal of the survey, areas assessed by the survey, and the intended purpose of the survey data. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
