Course overview

The goal of preceptorship is to facilitate the transition of the novice nurse from a student role to a professional nursing role capable of providing safe, competent patient care. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of evaluating the preceptor, including the expected roles and responsibilities of the preceptor. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
