Course overview

Critical thinking in nursing is a complex and dynamic process in which information is gathered, validated, and analyzed with respect to the nurse¿s knowledge and prior clinical experiences, leading to the formulation of options or conclusions that are most appropriate to the situation. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of precepting and supporting the development of critical thinking, including ways to support and promote critical thinking, as well as the importance of thinking critically in nursing. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
