Course overview

Many countries rely on FENs to provide adequate staffing during periods of shortage of nursing personnel. The ethics of actively recruiting FENs to the U.S. and the U.K. have come under scrutiny. This CE module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of ethical aspects surrounding the recruitment of FENs including preparation of foreign-educated nurses, the impact on their home nation when FENs leave for another country, and guidelines for the recruitment of FENs along with recruitment goals for healthcare organization. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
