Course overview

Schinzel-Giedion syndrome (SGS; also referred to as Schinzel-Giedion midface-retraction syndrome) is an extremely rare, fatal autosomal dominant syndrome caused by a heterozygous de novo mutation of the SET binding protein 1 (SETBP1) gene. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of SGS, including its etiology, clinical presentation, and treatment, and to aid in caring for the patient with SGS. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
