Shared governance is a professional practice model that promotes nursing empowerment and shared decision making by making staff nurses, accountable for decisions that impact policies, procedures, and processes at the point-of-service. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of understanding the nurse manager¿s role in shared governance including nurse manager expectations, and responsibilities.
