Course overview

Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United Kingdom, after heart disease and cancer, and the largest cause of severe disability. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the healthcare costs of stroke in the UK including information on the various types of stroke, the number of strokes that occur annually in the UK, and various contributors to the cost of stroke in the UK. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
