Course overview

TB continues to be a global health concern in spite of recent successes in decreasing TB-related incidence and mortality. TB places a financial burden on national health care systems and on patients with TB and their families. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the healthcare costs of TB, including information on healthcare costs, the impact of TB on the patient and their family¿s income, and the impact of cost on TB treatment decisions and guidelines. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
