Course overview

Depression can interfere with a patient¿s comprehension of information. Communicating with patients who are depressed involves the use of certain therapeutic communication techniques. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of communicating with patients who are depressed, including information on therapeutic communication techniques and the importance of communicating with patients who are depressed, to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
