Course overview

Emergency nurse practitioners (ENPs) are advanced practice nurses with specialized training in emergency care. This role was developed to meet the increasing demand for emergency care services. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of developing and implementing the nursing role of ENPs including the training required for the ENP role and the benefits and barriers to implementation of the ENP role. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
