Course overview
CLP are birth defects that result in malformation of the upper lip and/or palate. These birth anomalies can occur together, or singly as a cleft in the lip or palate. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of providing preoperative care to the child with CLP including its clinical presentation, risk factors, outcome data, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
