EMPOWERMENT AND JOB SATISFACTION IN NURSES

Course overview

There is currently a severe workforce shortage in nursing. It is important that efforts are made to improve working conditions and nurse job satisfaction in order to attract new recruits and retain current nurses in the workforce. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of empowerment and job satisfaction of nurses, including elements that contribute to empowerment, the impact of empowerment on job satisfaction, and the role of leadership in promoting empowerment and job satisfaction. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
