Course overview
Crohn¿s disease (CD) is chronic disabling condition involving the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. This incurable form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by bouts of diarrhea, abdominal pain, malnutrition, stomatitis, abdominal mass, and perianal lesions along with endoscopic evidence of ulcerations, strictures, and/or fistulas. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the procedure for teaching the patient with CD, including a step-by-step process and the benefits of patient education on this topic. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
