Course overview
This CNA inservice module will provide certified nursing assistants (CNAs) with basic information about the disease of tuberculosis and how it is treated. Transmission of tuberculosis, the different forms of the disease, how it is diagnosed, the signs and symptoms, and the basics of drug therapy will be discussed. The module will also discuss infection control procedures that are used for patients who have tuberculosis and CNA responsibilities of patient care as they relate to tuberculosis.
