Chest Tube Drainage Surgery, injury, and disease are just a few conditions that may necessitate chest tube drainage. This course provides information on patient indications leading to Chest Tube Drainage, the equipment used, and setup required. Topics include: Respiratory Physiology Patient indications for Chest Tube Drainage Chest Drainage Equipment Interactive Equipment Assembly Simulation Management of Chest Drain, Nursing Interventions Assessment Special Features: MCTs interactive simulation requires the learner to assemble, in sequence, three commonly used chest drainage systems. The learner will receive in the moment feedback on the actions they take, or fail to take, during the simulation activity.
