Course overview
Learning objectives: Understand that panic disorder is an authentic illness characterized by sudden attacks of terror that can be accompanied by specific physical symptoms as well as other serious conditions and addictions. Distinguish how panic disorders are manifested through certain mental health diagnoses. Identify and define the different mental health conditions that share panic disorder as a symptom. Understand how panic disorder is treated and the medications used to treat the disorder. Understand the role research plays in understanding and treating anxiety disorders.
