Course overview

A recent CDC report finds suicide rates have risen sharply among middle age Americans. In fact, it has surpassed deaths from motor vehicle crashes in recent years. What changes within our society have led to this drastic increase? Most suicide research and prevention efforts have focused historically on youth and the elderly. This increase suggests efforts and education should also address the needs of middle-aged people.
