TERMINALLY ILL CHILDREN: CARING FOR THE DYING CHILD AND THE FAMILY OF THE DYING CHILD

Course overview

Nursing care of the dying child and the child¿s family encompasses both physical care of the child and psychosocial care of the child and family. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of caring for terminally ill children and the family of the dying child, including its clinical presentation, demographic information, and outcome data and to aid in caring for the patient with a terminal diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
