THE NURSING ASSESSMENT AND COMPLETION OF THE HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT PLAN (HCMP)

Course overview

This course is designed to enhance the understanding and expertise of registered nurses who care for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The registered nurses will gain knowledge in (1) identifying the components of a comprehensive nursing assessment (2) using the appropriate forms to document the assessment and steps in creating a Health Care Management Plan (HCMP). Nurses will review each component of a HCMP to promote the development of plans that are person-centered with measurable outcomes and clearly defined interventions.
