CAREER MOBILITY IN NURSING

Course overview

Nursing is a field that has extensive opportunities for career mobility due to the great variety of education, leadership and management opportunities available to nurses, the diversity in work settings, and the wide range of nursing specialties available. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of career mobility in nursing, including the influence of education on career mobility, the various levels of nursing practice available, the traditional path of career advancement for RNs, and the relationship between career advancement and nurse retention. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
